Unite Online Academy partners with homeschool families to provide personalized learning, meaningful relationships, and engaging teacher-led instruction. We believe children thrive when they feel known, encouraged, challenged, and connected, and we are committed to helping every child grow with confidence and a love of learning.

What Is Unite Online Academy?

Unite Online Academy is a homeschool partnership program serving students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, with future expansion to grades 4 and 5. Through a combination of live online instruction, small-group learning, personalized learning plans, guided independent learning, and offline learning experiences, students receive meaningful academic support and a peer community of learners while maintaining the flexibility of homeschooling.

Programs and services may include reading, writing, phonics, math, science, social studies, reading intervention, academic support, and enrichment opportunities. Online and offline learning experiences are designed to meet students where they are while providing both support and challenge as they grow.

All instruction is provided by a licensed teacher, and learning plans are designed and guided in partnership with families to support student growth, confidence, and progress. In addition to academic instruction, students participate in a supportive learning community that encourages meaningful relationships, daily connection with peers, and opportunities for in-person learning experiences throughout the year.

Securing Your Spot

Because class sizes are intentionally kept small, enrollment spaces are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

A non-refundable $100 registration fee per student is required to reserve a student's place in the program. Enrollment is confirmed once the registration fee, enrollment paperwork, and tuition arrangements are complete.

Flexible Payment Options

Families may choose one of the following payment options. Payment details and due dates will be outlined in the enrollment agreement.

Paid in Full

Full tuition is due before the start of the school year.

Semester Payment Plan

Fall semester tuition is due before the start of the school year.

Spring semester tuition is due before the start of the second semester.

ESA Payments

Unite Online Academy is currently pursuing approval as an Arizona ESA vendor. Additional information regarding ESA payments will be shared with families as it becomes available.

Withdrawal from the Program

Families may withdraw from Unite Online Academy at any time by providing written notice.

The $100 registration fee is non-refundable. Because enrollment reserves a limited space within the program and instruction is personalized for each student, families remain responsible for tuition for the semester in which the withdrawal occurs. Tuition for future semesters that have not yet begun will not be charged.

For example:
  • A family who withdraws during the fall semester remains responsible for fall semester tuition but will not be charged spring semester tuition.
  • A family who withdraws during the spring semester remains responsible for spring semester tuition.

This policy allows Unite Online Academy to maintain small class sizes, personalized learning plans, and consistent support for enrolled students while providing flexibility for families when circumstances change.

Attendance & Technology

Attendance Expectations

Students are encouraged to attend all scheduled live instructional sessions and community meetings. If a student will be absent, families should notify the teacher in advance when possible.

Consistent participation helps students receive the greatest benefit from personalized instruction, meaningful relationships, and community connections.

Technology Requirements

Families are responsible for providing:

  • Reliable internet access
  • A computer or tablet capable of participating in live online sessions
  • Access to email for communication and program updates
  • Basic school supplies needed to complete learning activities

Additional materials will be communicated as needed throughout the year.

Staying Connected

Strong communication between families and the teacher is an important part of the Unite Online Academy partnership. Emails and messages will typically receive a response within 1-2 business days.

What Families Can Expect

  • Regular communication regarding student progress
  • Ongoing support and guidance
  • Timely responses to emails and messages

The Role of the Learning Coach

Each student is supported by a Learning Coach — a parent, grandparent, caregiver, or other trusted adult. The amount of support needed will vary based on the student's age and level of independence.

Learning Coaches are expected to:

  • Help students establish a consistent learning routine
  • Support completion of independent learning activities
  • Ensure students attend live online sessions
  • Encourage organization, effort, and responsibility
  • Communicate with the teacher as needed

Building a Caring Community

Unite Online Academy is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and respectful learning community for every student.

Students and families are expected to:

  • Treat others with kindness and respect
  • Participate appropriately during live sessions
  • Communicate respectfully with peers and adults
  • Contribute positively to the learning community

Together, we strive to create an environment where every child feels known, encouraged, challenged, and connected.
